Baldwin Child Care Center

The Three-year-old class meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00AM - 11:45AM.

The Four-year-old class meets Monday-Wednesday-Friday 9:00AM - 12:00 Noon.

Morning Schedule 

9:00 -9:20 - Arrival, table toys, free play

9:20 - 9:45 - Circle Time (morning message, guided literacy, sharing)

9:45 - 9:55 - Bathroom time

9:55 - 10:19 - Mid-morning snack

10:10 - 10:55-  Art project/Free play

10:55 - 11:05 - Clean up/ Library time                      

11:05 - 11:20 - Story Time or Show and Tell

11:20- 11:45 -  Outside time

11:45 - Departure

Our full-time preschool is designated for children age 2 - young 3's. We can accomodate a variety of schedules within center hours, including part time (1 -4 days a week) or full time.

Daily Schedule               

6:30 -7:30 - Arrival, breakfast and table toys

7:30 -8:30 - Breakfast and Free play

8:30 - 9:30 - Center play

9:30 - 10:00 -Outside play or movement

10:00 - 10:30- Bathroom and snack time

10:30 - 11:30 - Center play, Arts & crafts

11:30 - 11:45 - Story, music & movement

11:45- 12:30 -Lunch and bathroom time

12:30 -2:45 - Nap time

2:45 - 3:15 Clean-up/bathroom/prep for snack

3:15 - 3:45 -Stories

3:45 - 4:30 - Art/Free play/Outside

4:30 - Combine with other classes.

Our Pre-K class is a full-time class for older three's through five year olds. Children may be in this class two years.  The Pre-K class is a bit more structured than our full time pre-school class.

6:30 - 8:00 - Arrival, Breakfast, free play

8:00 - 9:30 - Arrival, Center Play

9:30 - 10:00 - Circle time

10:00 - 10:30 - Snack

10:30 -11:10 - Outside Play or Big Room

11:10 - 11:45 -Center play

11:45 - 12:00 - Music and Movement, Story time

12:00 - 12:45 - Lunch/Bathroom

12:45 - 2:45 - rest/Quiet reading

2:00 -2:30 - One on One/Quiet table games (for those awake)

2:45 - 3:00 - Story time

3:00 - 3:30 - Bathroom/Afternoon snack

3:30 - 4:00 - Music & movement, books, puzzles

4:00 -4:30 - outside, centers if inside

4:30 - 6:00 - Outside, big room, free play

We offer before and after school care from Millersville elementary and Rockbridge academy.  We accept children in grades K - 5.

Daily Schedule

6:30 - 8:15 - Breakfast, Free choice and organized games

8:15 - 8:30 - Walk to bus stop - off to school!

3:40 - 3:45 - Walk back from bus stop with teachers

3:40 - 4:00 - Snack

4:00 - 5:00 - Homework, Free Choice - drawing, reading, games, projects.

5:00 - 6:00 - Outside or Inside gym (Big room).
